welan gum is thermally resistant biopolymer for viscosity and suspension control in industrial applications, it is stable up to 300ºF(150ºC)in water-based drilling, workover and completion fluids, with unique features for Lower Shear Rate Viscosity (LSRV) of drilling fluids and divalent ion tolerance
Features of welan gum
(1) Superior compatibility with other gums.
(2) Excellent water blinding capacity.
(3) High viscosity in low concentration and slow-speed of revolution.
(4) Has characteristics as pseudoplastic fluid (shear thinning), good suspending power under idle state.
(5) Stable in pH2-12, nice salt tolerance, which means it has special stability in high salinity.
(6) Has high resistance to temperature.
